Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Enter a Target Score
- Use the Text Input Field to type in the score you'd like your students to reach (e.g., 88).
- This becomes the goal for the activity.
2. Ask for Combinations
- Invite your students to think of different ways to reach the target score using numbers from the dartboard.
- Encourage creativity! There are often multiple ways to make the same number.
3. Select Dartboard Segments
- As students suggest combinations (e.g., 20 + 18 + 25 + 25 = 88), click on the corresponding segments on the dartboard.
- This visually reinforces their answers and helps the whole class follow along.
4. Discuss and Explore
- Talk through the combinations with your students. Ask questions like:
- “Can we make 88 using fewer darts?”
- “What’s the highest number we can use?”
- “Can we make 88 using only even numbers?”
5. Reset and Repeat
- When you're ready for a new challenge, simply enter a new score and start again!
